We are finally done with the robot
and simply trying to find more and more ways to improve. Even though we
were set back a few days because of the bad weather, we were
still
able to finish it early. Now we find ourselves
improving our robot to make it the best robot ever. The future is
coming, the outlook is great, and the only direction we can go now is
up.

Good Morning to all,
Yesterday, I picked up a donation
from EATON Corporation for the FIRST Robotics Team #2483, in the
amount of $750.00. Ed Yee and Dan Leeman of EATON are on the
Advisory Board for The Academy of Engineering and are
responsible for initiating the generous donation. The donation
will be used to help with the building of the robot (Clawbotz)
and supporting team members with transportation and
accommodation cost, as they travel to regional competitions in
Florida and North Carolina. The EATON logo will proudly be
displayed on "Clawbotz" as a team sponsor again this year.

It's
the beginning of the fourth week here and Clawbotz is right on schedule
We've passed the midpoint in the allotted building time,
and we're geared towards victory. The robot's running and raring to go,
although, a few details need to be tweaked. Make sure you check out our
new twitter and we will tweet you about it later.
IT'S THAT
TIME OF YEAR AGAIN! IT'S BUILDING SEASON FOR FIRST ROBOTICS!
Excitement and anticipation fill the air as Westover's FIRST Robotics
Team representatives make plans to pick up the "Kit of Parts" on Saturday,
January 9, 2010, from Penske Racing in Mooresville, NC. At 10:00 a.m.,
EST, teams from across the United States and 7 countries will learn, for
the first time, about the new game for this year's competition. All
teams will have only 6 weeks to build their robot for shipping on
February 23, 2010.
